Postdoctoral Research Associate
Dr. Elsayed Morsy (Elsayed Ahmed Elsadek) is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Arizona's Department of Biosystems Engineering and a Lecturer at Damietta University, Egypt. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Science from Hohai University (2023), an MSc from Damietta University (2018), and a BSc from Zagazig University (2012).
His research focuses on hydrology and agricultural water management, specifically studying crop water requirements, water footprint analysis, soil-plant-water relationships, water use efficiency, and precision agriculture. He has extensive experience in modeling and climate change impact assessment on agricultural systems.
Dr. Elsadek has published numerous peer-reviewed articles in prestigious journals, with recent work examining climate change impacts on rice yields in Egypt's Nile Delta and water balance in direct-seeded rice systems. He actively contributes to extension publications and presents at international conferences, particularly in water resources and irrigation management.
He is proficient in various agricultural and hydrological modeling software, including AquaCrop, CROPWAT, and ArcMap. His language skills include native Arabic, professional English (TOEFL score: 660/700), and intermediate Chinese (HSK3 certification).
Currently based in Maricopa County, Arizona, Dr. Elsadek combines his academic role with practical research applications in agricultural water management and sustainability.
